Business Development Manager – Exhibitions

Rustington, West Sussex

Eljays44 is looking for a Sales professional with proven experience in the media and events sector, to join our exhibition sales team. The ideal candidate is a motivated, well-organised individual who has a deep understanding of prospecting and developing strong relationships with clients. You will be working in a fast –paced environment and be responsible for winning business for the UK’s leading landscaping exhibition through new business development and account management.

Hours: 35 per week(Monday – Thursday 08:00am – 17:00pm, Fridays 08:30am – 13:30pm)

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategies to drive business in new and existing markets
  • Maintain a strong sales pipeline through effective relationship building, call management and lead generation
  • Achieve growth and hit sales targets through selling exhibition space and sponsorship
  • Write and send effective sales proposals
  • Work closely with management to ensure sales strategies are in line with business goals and marketing strategies
  • Deliver a professional, high quality level of customer service to all clients

Key Requirements

  • Proven track record in B2B sales, preferably exhibitions
  • Excellent business acumen and ability to converse well with a range of clients
  • Account management experience
  • Experienced at working towards and exceeding targets
  • Ability and understanding of writing proposals
  • Experience in cold calling/telesales
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to coach and develop delegates
